Initiatives Taken by Ghanshyam Sarda’s Chandrakala Devi Trust

The Sarda Group-owned Chandrakala Devi Sarda Charitable Trust is a humanitarian welfare organisation. The organisation is driven by its founders’ desire to contribute to its social progress. The Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya is an initiative by Chandrakala Devi Sarda Charitable Trust to promote social improvement. The Chandrakala Devi Sarda Charitable organisation is one of many welfare trusts established by the Sarda Group. This welfare trust is committed to the welfare of society’s neediest. The organisation’s goal is to instil a desire for a higher quality of life in the general public. In addition, the group’s goal is to provide possibilities to provide a bright future for the country.

Constantly working for the welfare of the upliftment of the underprivileged sections of society, Mr. Sarda has always encouraged the social advancement and empowerment of the people associated with Sarda Group. 

Ghanshyam Sarda is touted as one of the largest employers of West Bengal, with over 50,000 working with the Sarda Group. But his contributions are not limited to the jute and IT industry. He has established himself as a force of change in public affairs, events, and sports as well. Going back to the roots

The Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya is one of Chandrakala Devi Sarda’s undertakings, and it is a way of giving back to the jute industry. Ghanshyam Sarda recognized early on that the jute sector was one of the primary export earners. This is why he left no stone unturned to resurrect as many as nine ailing jute mills. Currently, the Sarda Group controls more than a quarter of India’s jute sector. This business tycoon also made an appearance in the chemical industry with the acquisition of Kolmark Chemicals Limited. This corporate personality’s involvement in delivering a fresh breath of life to the floundering Kolmark Chemicals surely deserves credit.

Source of inspiration

Mr. Sarda has always had an unwavering desire to do good for society. This is one of the reasons he proceeded with establishing Ram Dev Sarda Maha Vidyalaya. It was established with the conviction of giving back to society and industry. This college can accommodate up to 5000 students. Ghanshyam Sarda also promised Rs. 5 crore funding to establish the Trauma Centre in Bikaner. The Rajasthan government is assisting with this project, and an investment of Rs. 25 crores have been made to make it a reality. In this regard, it should be noted that the trauma centre is named after Mr. Sarda’s departed parents. Through his efforts, Mr. Sarda is regarded as a source of inspiration by millions of people worldwide.
