AVON LAKE, Ohio – Police in Avon Lake have identified the 4 individuals who put together shot and wiped out in the home on Tuesday within an apparent murder-suicide.
The 4 individuals who put together dead have being best known as:
50-year-old Jeffrey Shell
46-year-old Heidi Shell
9-year-old Garrett Shell
6-year-old Grant Shell
Based on officials, patrol officials were known as to a previous address on British Change 1:20 p.m. Tuesday for any welfare check. Upon arrival, officials state that the patrol officials observed suspicious conditions within the home, and known as for backup, including detectives.
The officials and detectives joined the house and located four people with gunshot wounds, each deceased. Police tell 3News that two children and 2 adults were wiped out within the incident.
The Lorain County Coroner was notified and officials state that the incident has been investigated at the moment being an apparent murder-suicide.
The Avon Lake Detective Bureau contacted the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Analysis for further assistance investigating this incident.
Late Tuesday evening, the Avon Lake City School District released an announcement towards the community, confirming that two students at Erieview Grade School were wiped out within the incident:
“This mid-day, we learned the tragic news that people lost our Avon Lake families, including two students at Erieview Grade School. We’ve arranged to possess grief counselors at Erieview tomorrow morning to utilize staff and students. Please contact the main or Counselor at the student’s building in case your family needs assistance.
It is crucial that we recognize this loss and provide help. This can be a sensitive problem for children, so we claim that you engage with your children regarding their feelings.
Our ideas and hopes visit our students and families within the Avon Lake Community.”
