Kyle Youthful, one of many rioters who attacked Washington, Electricity, officer Michael Fanone throughout the The month of january 6, 2021, insurrection in the US Capitol was sentenced to 86 several weeks imprisonment on Tuesday.
“On The month of january 6, the violence was you,” Judge Amy Berman Jackson told Youthful before handing lower the sentence, adding he would be a “one man wrecking ball” on that day who attacked Fanone “under the whirling banner of the ‘Blue Lives Matter’ flag.”
In May, Youthful pleaded guilty to assaulting Fanone, holding his wrist and pulling his arm as the officer was pulled in to the mob by other rioters.

Fanone has since left the Metropolitan Police and it is now a CNN contributor.
After being pulled in the type of officials, Fanone ended up being beaten by rioters during probably the most brutal assaults on police protecting the Capitol on that day. Michael Fanone , who spoke during Tuesday’s hearing, requested Jackson to sentence Youthful to ten years in jail and spoke of methods he was “violently beaten.” The previous officer stated he was avoided by Youthful from grabbing his gun or radio, that they known as his “lifeline.”
