Narendra Modi’s Twitter account hacked by Bitcoin post — When India has officially adopted bitcoin as legal tender ?

Pm Narendra Modi’s personal Twitter handle was restored after you have “very briefly compromised,” the best Minister’s Office (PMO) stated inside a tweet on Sunday, after it shared a hyperlink promising a bitcoin giveaway.

“The Twitter handle of PM @narendramodi was very briefly compromised. The problem was escalated to Twitter and also the account continues to be immediately guaranteed. Within the brief period the account was compromised, any tweet shared should be overlooked,” PMO India stated inside a tweet.

The account of Modi, that has greater than 73.4 million supporters, has been restored.

Prior to the account was restored, a tweet was distributed to a URL on PM Modi’s timeline which read, “India has formally adopted bitcoin as legal tender. The federal government has formally bought 500 BTC and it is disbursing these to all residents of the nation.”

Minutes later, another tweet was published, saying, “Yes this account is hacked by John Wick (hckindia@tutanota.com), We’ve not hacked Paytm Mall.”

“We’ve 24X7 open lines of communication using the PM’s Office and our teams required necessary steps to secure the compromised account when we grew to become conscious of this activity. Our analysis has revealed there are no indications of every other impacted accounts at the moment,” Twitter spokesperson told IANS.
